"Divine Sparks. Ignite Faith, Explore Culture, Experience Adventure " is a four-day program designed for just four girls, ages 15 to 20, in a perfect balance of Bible study, artistic and cultural activities, leisure time, and personal growth. These are intense and meaningful days intended to strengthen personal faith, make new friends, and discover talents.
I am still full of joy and enthusiasm as I think back to the days I spent from June 24-27 with four extraordinary girls (aged between 15 and 17), protagonists of the first extraordinary edition of "Divine Sparks." Four intense days, spent in my home in Catania. An experience that will forever remain etched in our hearts.
Divine Sparks is an idea born as a result of focused prayer, a "pilot project" as we called it, and I can say with all my heart that it exceeded all expectations. Together we laughed, explored, learned, and most importantly, grew in faith, creating a deep and sincere bond.
The program
Day one: Welcome and immersion in the Bible. Visit to Catania Cathedral to connect faith and art, and the testimony of a woman of faith.
Day two: We learned about the strong women in the Bible. Then, a historical excursion with a photo challenge and a typical Sicilian dinner.
Day three: Reflection on the significance of water in the Bible. A field trip to the sea with a time of worship and sharing of talents and testimonies.
Day four: special program and final lunch.
A thank you from the heart
My first thanks go to God for the incredible care and protection that enveloped every moment of this adventure. He guided our steps, illuminated our reflections, and made it all possible. His love was the spark that ignited our days.
I also want to express immense gratitude to the parents of these wonderful girls. Their faith in this project, in an idea that was still only a dream, was an act of courage and great generosity. Thank you for believing in us and entrusting us with your most precious treasures. You made the Divine Sparks project possible.
Four days of growth
Each day was a chapter in an unforgettable book. We shared a home, laughter, meals prepared together, reflections, and prayers. We explored the beauty of Catania, connecting it to the Word of God, and rediscovered talents and passions. It was wonderful to see the girls open up, share their stories, and support each other, creating an environment of warmth and affection that made everything special.
This experience showed that faith is not only something to be experienced in church, but also in everyday life, sharing a home, exploring a city, and connecting with new sisters. The enthusiasm that emanated from this "zero trial" fills me with hope for the future.
It was not just a program, but a journey of faith, friendship, and discovery. And I experienced it at home, with the joy in my heart of having hosted a piece of heaven.
