Many Women's Ministry groups in the EUD have been busy sewing heart-shaped pillows for breast cancer patients over the last few years. The group in the Kisdorf church in northern Germany has also added other items to their list according to needs expressed by the hospital they are in contact with. Thus they knitted 282 sets of bonnets and bootees for premature babies in 2017. They have also sewed little beds of fabric for stillborn babies in various sizes. These are given to the parents for the burial of their foetus. In addition they have sewed various other things for sale in order to cover the costs of the products given to the hospital.
The Kisdorf group just wanted to express their thanks to all who have participated in the efforts and published a leaflet with the numbers of products for 2017 and in total.
The hospitals that receive these gifts of love really appreciate the effort involved. We also want to thank all the women (as well as some men who help) in the many groups in our division who are involved in this initiative. They may not know what impact their work has now, but they can be assured that the recipients are consoled when they are presented with a gift of love from other women.
