On Sabbath, September 20, 2025, the first Czech “Conference for Young Women” between the ages of 15 and 25 took place in Ostrava. Under the motto “Without Veils,” around 50 participants came together for a day full of encounters, honest conversations, and inspiring thoughts about what constitutes our true identity.
In talks, discussion groups, partner discussions, and creative workshops, the young women explored who they really are when they take off all the veils and masks that life has imposed on them over time—the expectations of others, external pressure, and the need to be perfect.
The focus was on the question: How can we reestablish our identity in God? Together, they discovered that true beauty and self-worth do not lie in roles, achievements, or outward appearances, but in the fact that we are created in God's image. Recognizing this divine image in ourselves, nurturing it, and growing in it—that is our true goal: to live in intimate communion with God, in deep, authentic relationships with one another, and to courageously unfold the creativity that God has placed in each of us.
The day was marked by warmth, openness, and joy, but also by moments of honest silence and reflection. Many went home in the evening feeling newly seen, understood, and encouraged—and with the desire to live “without a veil” in their everyday lives as well.
