Christian Women’s Magazine in Spain

The magazine ISHA, published by the Seventh-Day Adventist Church Women’s Ministries Department in Spain twice a year, addressed the topic of the abuse of power in its latest issue in November 2022. Starting with a definition of the various types of abuse of power, the articles address a variety of related topics. One is the question of abuse of power in the family. Cases of the abuse of power in the Bible are shown. The church has also enabled the abuse of women with its interpretations of certain passages in the epistles of Paul, taking a few verses that are difficult to understand and ignoring the main message of salvation that runs through his letters and his plea for the equality of all humans. One topic is also ”Who is my Neighbor?” concerning our treatment of people of other races. How to help a victim of the abuse of power is an important aspect that has not been neglected. The magazine contains a lot of information as well as practical help and emotional support.
