Camp for Single Women in Romania

Dream Boldly was the title of the camp for single women in Eforie Sud, Romania, from 21-26 August 2022. Coming from all over Romania and abroad (Arad, Mures, Craiova, Iasi, Bucharest, Bacau, Bicaz, Ploiesti, Spain), 38 single women enjoyed a week of fellowship with God and with each other, the sun, the sea, and various activities designed especially for them. Some of the women had invited a non-SDA friend to join in the fun. Our special guest was Dagmar Dorn, Director of Women's Ministries, Inter-European Division. She presented themes such as "Dream boldly" and "God's big dream for you". In these meetings, we learned how wonderfully God has led us, even at times when we didn't see it from the beginning. He has helped us to fulfill our dreams and the great plan He has with each of us in an extraordinary way.
The morning and evening devotionals were presented by Viorica Avrămiea, Singles Coordinator of the Romanian Union. Each day the main theme was "The Sea in Scripture".
She took us on a journey from the creation of the sea, through the Red Sea with the Israelites, then straight into the depth of the sea with Jonah, then to the disciples at the Sea of Galilee, and finally, we discovered in Revelation chapter 21 that "the sea will be no more" and our troubles and sorrows will disappear at the second coming of Jesus.
Each morning personal devotion was also accompanied by a sunrise walk, and in the evening we enjoyed fellowship through activities related to the main theme.
One of the most enjoyable moments of our meeting was a day trip to Queen Mary's Castle in Balchik and a visit to the Botanical Garden. We also stopped at Cap Caliacra (a nature and archaeological reserve) where we could admire the vastness and beauty of the sea.
We enjoyed our time together as it was our first physical encounter after the pandemic years. God's blessings, encouragement, hugs, and kind words made this meeting a heartfelt and longing stop.
