Eight women have been chosen to serve in top leadership roles in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church for the next quinquennium. They may not be many in numbers, but women have a great impact on the church at every level.
Audrey E. Andersson, General Vice President
Audrey Andersson is an incumbent general vice president. She is the first woman to serve as executive secretary for the Trans-European Division, holding the position since 2010.
Born in Ireland, Andersson graduated from Newbold College with a degree in theology, later obtaining a master’s degree in pastoral ministry. In 2003, she served as executive secretary for the Swedish Union and was instrumental in shaping the GraceLink Sabbath School curriculum. In 2016, she received the GC Woman of Excellence Award, followed by the British Union Conference Women in Leadership Award in 2020.
