The vernissage of the art exhibition Moonlit Night took place in Böblingen on September 29. The event was organized by the Community Outreach Center for Ukrainian refugees of the SDA church in Böblingen together with the city of Böblingen in the community center Flugfeld.
The Ukrainian artist Natalia Kurkova, who has lived in Böblingen for several years and runs painting courses for children and adults, came up with the idea. Paintings by Natalia and her students were exhibited. Another highlight was the exhibition of ceramics by Ukrainian artist Yurii Kozak and his students.
At the center of the exhibition was the painting “Moonlit Night over the Dnieper” by the well-known artist Archip Kuindschi from Mariupol. Both young and old artists tried to reproduce the brightly colored picture. And very successfully. There was not a single picture that was the same, as everyone had found their own free interpretation.
The art exhibition was opened for the benefit of the Ukrainian people and raised €1227.
