This was the main theme for the 23rd German Prevention Congress on June 11 and 12. Among the 150 Organizations at the congress the Seventh-Day Adventist Church was represented by the Women’s Ministries team of the German-speaking regions DACH. The Theological University Friedensau with its social work department and the Desert Flower Center at Waldfriede Hospital in Berlin are also involved in the struggle to end violence, particularly Female Genital Mutilation. A plethora of information material against domestic abuse and the various forms of violence against women and children was presented at the booth. Visitors were invited to leave their hand imprint on a large banner with the words “End the silence about violence against women and children.” The action enditnow was initiated by the Women’s Ministries Department and ADRA but meanwhile involves all departments of the church.
