A Ray of Light in Vulcani, Romania

Women Give Help for the Needy

In the town of Vulcani, Hunedoara County, love for people has taken deep root. Every Sunday, Sister Vasilica Soare, together with Liliana Dobre, transforms a modest corner into a place of hope for over 20 disadvantaged children. Here, the little ones learn songs and Bible stories that touch their hearts, and at the end, they receive a hot meal, prepared with love.
The children do not come alone. Most of the time they are accompanied by a parent, a mother or a father, who also enjoys the same gift of food, together with the little ones. In total, over 30 persons are touched each week by this quiet but light-filled work.
The resources come from the hearts of those involved: the sisters invest from their own income, and a generous community in Spain constantly supports this work of love through the project of the Sabbath School group in that community. Once a month, they are joined by other women with big hearts: Mihaela Geantă, Carmen Preda, Adela Chiriac, and Daniela Zău, who help prepare the meal and bring food to be taken to poor families, where the need is even greater.
This ministry is not just a social action, but a living testimony of God's love. Through simple and constant gestures, these women give not only food for the body, but also food for the soul.
