20 years Women's Ministries Activities in Lucerne, Switzerland

The SDA church in Lucerne, Switzerland, celebrated 20 years of Women’s Ministries activities in January 2017 in a special church service. The team began with women’s breakfast meetings. The initiator of the women’s ministries group presented the sermon and said, “We wanted to create a possibility for women to meet in addition to church services. The concept is simple and as up-to-date as ever. Good food and time for visiting so that women get to know each other. Then the presentation of a short topic with group discussions at the tables. Give-away cards with suitable Bible verses make the transition to Biblical topics easy. We always tried to react the needs of the women. And so women’s ministries teams were formed for evening meetings and activities for senior citizens.” The work is still going strong in Lucerne with a team of five dedicated women leading the efforts. The women of the Angolan church in Lucerne know how to make the Sabbath a special celebration. They made the women’s ministries Sabbath a joyful celebration. Dressed in colorful fabrics portraying the Women’s Ministries Logo they sang and praised God in their native language. The afternoon program provided information about Women’s Ministries and closed with a delicious buffet meal and cake.
